Soccer Open
Soccer Open is for advanced players who may have previously competed in Soccer Lightweight or Entry competitions. All team members must be between 14 and 19 years old. An orange ball that does not emit infrared light must be found using computer vision systems. This presents additional challenges, but also new opportunities, as these systems can be used to detect other robots. The robots may weigh up to 2.2 kg. Each team has TWO robots that play against each other on a playing field limited only by out-lines.
